Nail Salon Due Diligence Checklist Template

This nail salon checklist template helps buyers test whether nail salon revenue is transferable after technicians, hygiene controls, and customer routines change.

Use it as a printable due diligence checklist with Yes / No verification and a 0-100 risk score. Technician turnover, hygiene issues, weak repeat booking, unclear licenses, and chemical or ventilation risks should increase the score.

Printable checklist format

  • Financial records: POS exports, booking reports, bank deposits, tax filings, cash logs, tips, and technician-level revenue.
  • Compliance evidence: technician licenses, salon permit, hygiene logs, sterilization process, ventilation, chemical storage, and insurance.
  • Customer evidence: repeat booking, no-shows, prepaid packages, gift cards, refunds, reviews, and technician-specific loyalty.
  • Operations review: service time, chair utilization, supply usage, payroll, contractor status, and lease permitted use.

Yes / No decision structure

  • Mark Yes only when revenue, hygiene, technician, and lease claims are supported by records.
  • Mark No when licenses are unclear, repeat customer data cannot export, or key technicians may leave.
  • Record the cash-flow impact if technician capacity or service speed drops after closing.

Risk scoring system

  • 0-40: Lower risk. Hygiene, licenses, repeat bookings, staff, lease, and cash flow are mostly verified.
  • 41-70: Medium risk. Require staff retention, compliance fixes, or price adjustment.
  • 71-100: High risk. Do not buy if technician, hygiene, lease, or customer-transfer risk remains unresolved.
